Getting Started

Request for placement test modification during summer orientation

At the time that you register for orientation, you may request accommodations for any placement tests you will be taking during summer orientation.  You will find the option to request testing modifications in the online registration form through the IUB Office of First Year Experience Programs (FYE). The accommodations you will receive during summer orientation will be an extension of the services you used in high school. In order to determine your need for services, FYE requires you to submit a verification letter from your high school or a copy of your accommodations letter from the College Board.

If you have questions, you may contact the Office of First Year Experience Programs at (812) 855-4357 or fye@indiana.edu. Their website is www.indiana.edu/~fye.

Please Note: Testing modifications during summer orientation are an extension of the accommodations you were provided at your previous school. They are not a guarantee that you will receive modifications as a student at Indiana University. Students requesting disability support services for the school year must make a separate, formal application to the Office of Disability Services for Students.  (see How to Request Disability Support Services)
