Acute, Short Term Illness and/or Injury
If you incur an injury that temporarily prevents you from writing with your dominant hand or substantially impairs mobility, assistance is available through DSS. Possibilities include the loan of a portable keyboarding device, accommodated test conditions, keys to the Ballantine Hall elevator, and the use of the IUB van service.
You will need to provide physician’s documentation specifying diagnosis, functional limitations, and the duration of the condition before services will be initiated.
