Academic Integrity Seminar
The Academic Integrity Seminar is an educational sanction assigned to students who are found responsible for Academic Misconduct. The 8 hour seminar is taught by the Office of Student Ethics multiple times throughout the semester to educate students on the importance of Academic Integrity and how to prevent issues of Academic Misconduct in the future. Students will learn what constitutes Academic Misconduct and proper techniques for citing and avoiding plagiarism. The instructors will lead students in discussions as to why they think students cheat and how they think their values, ethics and morals play into their actions and the decisions they make as IU students. By the end of the seminar, students will be able to identify resources on campus to assist them when struggling with academic work.
